WHERE DO YOU HIDE WHEN THE WORLD IS ON FIRE?
Nathaniel Bowen’s business trip is interrupted by the end of the world.
He escapes the blitzkrieg in a small Georgia town, in a Cold War-era fallout shelter. But as he soon realizes, being trapped in an underground tomb with strangers isn’t always a safe alternative. They bring their own bombs; fears, prejudices, and hatreds.
Nate struggles to keep his sanity amid the hot and claustrophobia, but cannot hide in obscurity for long. He unwittingly proves pivotal in establishing a leader as well as becoming a key member of the new regime.
When the group is forced to evacuate the safety of the shelter, what they find outside in the destroyed town and nation is just as horrible as they imagine.
25 Bombs Fell eBook AK Meek
A good book is one in which the main character grows and changes to deal with his nemesis. The author has done an excellent job with both plot and characterization. I'd liked to have had a little more back matter about the war, but it is likely a small group of survivors would have no more information. The copy is clean; no editing or grammar issues.
This is a good quick read well worth the money.

25 Bombs Fell eBook AK Meek Reviews
One word - awful.
Very slow reading, rough edges that made it difficult to keepthe story moving along.
Well written with some issues. Initially not enough descriptions of characters to avoid confusion. The theme of preserving ones humanity by a touch of pacifism might appeal to some but not to me, but that is just me.
Very interesting, a different line of thought regarding the end of the U.S. leaves room to continue a second or maybe third sequel?
A well written rendition of the standard nuclear apocalypse. The political run up is undefined, but there's obviously more to come.
I really enjoy these series ebooks, somehow I have gotten hung up on The Nuclear End books, there seem to be many more than I expected, this series has started well. I hope it continues!
Loved this book, not since I was a child have I read a book way into the night, and I'm now 68. Teriffic story, great ending, kept me looking forward to my next chance to read.
